Taaro ke Bacche (Enfants des Etoiles) is a non-profit organisation working to create an inclusive and supportive environment providing holistic and personalised care for children with autism and Down’s syndrome.
It was created in 2014 by Marie-Françoise Bisson, a former teacher and child psychologist with the Geneva Department of Education. She had travelled widely in India and realised that there was much lacking in this field. On retiring in 2009 she returned to India where, thanks to the friends she had made, she started working with children living with autism. She then went on to create Taaro ke Bacche for children with special needs.
Our vision
A world in which each person has a place, and persons with autism, Down’s syndrome and other deficiencies are respected and empowered.
Our mission
To offer personalised holistic care for children with autism and Down’s syndrome, support for their carers and training for specialised educators, thus ensuring that the children find their place in society. We also aim to increase awareness about autism in a society where there is very little understanding about this condition.
To create a space for…
– Joyful children, appreciated, with self-esteem
– Supportive families
– Inclusive and integrated communities
– Sustainability
“Make your life a dream and a dream a reality.”
